To kick start 2022, we asked you to share your questions on our favourite Road in London… the King’s Road of course.
Where is a good bar or pub for about 16 people for a work leaving-do?
The Cadogan Arms on the King’s Road has The Rose Room which you can book; Callooh Callay also on the King’s Road offers a private bar for larger groups, Manicomio at Duke of York Square has a beautiful conservatory if you’d prefer a sit-down meal and The Sloane Club has a gorgeous private bar, as well as roof terrace. If you aren’t after a private space, then any of our pubs or bars will be delighted to host you – simply call and book a table!
Where the best place to go on a Friday night? I’m looking for a fun bar or club.
We love Bluebird Chelsea for a great night out and Callooh Callay for their killer cocktails. And of course, no night is complete without hitting the dancefloor at Raffles.
Are there any good Indian restaurants?
Have you tried Kutir off the King’s Road on Lincoln Street? It’s a gorgeous Indian restaurant set in a townhouse serving traditional flavours as well as cocktails and a very fine wine list.
Toddler-friendly places?
The Ivy Chelsea Garden is very kids friendly. If you need a high chair or extra room for a pushchair, just let them know when you’re booking.
Any good halal places?
Everything at Comptoir Libanais at Duke of York Square and Ranoush Juice on the King’s Road is halal. Zheng is a halal Malaysian restaurant on Sydney Street and we hear Benihana has halal options on the menu too.
What’s the cheapest pint on or near the King’s Road?
That is a tricky one, we’d like to say The Chelsea Potter but it could be a good excuse for a Chelsea pub crawl?
Dog friendly shops and spaces?
There’s Love My Human Townhouse which offers doggy dishes and puppacinos, as well as plenty of treats for humans. Bluebird Chelsea also regularly hosts a Doggy Brunch which is a great way to kick-start your weekend with your four-legged friend. Duke of York Square and Pavilion Road are also great destinations for local pubs with their al fresco restaurants and seats for anyone to enjoy. There are also stores along the King’s Road which leave water out for our local pubs in case they get thirsty too.

When is SoulCycle planning on opening?
We don’t have a confirmed date just yet but as soon as we do, we’ll definitely shout out about it. We can’t wait either!
I heard that the M&S store will close at some point. Is this true?
Not that we’re away of, although there is a planning application being considered – more info can be found here.
Is the King’s Head still there? I worked as a barmaid there in the 80s.
Sadly, the King’s Head has closed but the other locals such as The Chelsea Potter, The Builders Arms, The Phene and The Phoenix are very much still around. There are also some great new openings including The Surprise and The Cadogan Arms that are well worth a visit.
Where is the best place to stay on or near the King’s Road?
There are plenty of lovely local hotels – we love 11 Cadogan Gardens for a boutique stay in Chelsea; Sloane Place gives you a luxury home away from home feeling; and The Cadogan, a Belmond Hotel is a luxe favourite too.
Best route to get the King’s Road – either from the tube or on foot?
Depending on where on the King’s Road you’re heading, Sloane Square lands you at the top of the King’s Road with Duke of York Square and Peter Jones as your starting point. Or, if you’re heading to the Ivy Chelsea Garden or Bluebird Chelsea, South Kensington is a shorter walk as you head past Onslow Square – cross over the Fulham Road and walk towards the King’s Road via Sydney Street.
Do you have any eco-shops or cafes?
A lot of our shops and cafes have sustainable practices. They include Daniella Draper’s gorgeous jewellery made from recycled gold and silver; TOAST’s minimum waste and social conscience approach; GANNI’s 44 goals over the next three years as part of their ongoing sustainability practice and of course, their sustainable shop fit out. And of course, we can’t forget Hagen which has the best coffee in Chelsea. Other places to check out include The Fashion School, Astrid & Miyu and Humble.
