Allbirds has arrived

Allbirds, the stylish B Corp footwear and apparel brand has arrived on the King’s Road following an eruption in popularity.

Opening at 54 King’s Road on 24 August, the store is only their fifth in Europe and its minimalistic style embodies their design principles or ‘the right amount of nothing’ and evokes the natural world with the use of locally sourced wood chairs and displays. As part of their ethos to demystify conscious consumption, the hero materials used throughout their designs such as merino wool, sugarcane and eucalyptus tree fibre can also be found at numerous touchpoints across the store. Display plinths illustrate the ‘start to finish’ process of the product creation an the carbon footprint of each item is clearly displayed – a first for the fashion and footwear industry.

And for those hoping to join the global community of changemakers, locals can learn about the Allbird’s Allgood Collective through a dedicated space as well discover upcoming events. Current Collective ambassadors including climate storyteller Alice Aedy, actor and activist Ceallach Spellman and zero-waste chef Douglas McMaster.
