If food is your love language, the King’s Road is fluent this Valentine’s Day. From flirty flavours and indulgent treats to menus made for swooning over, whether you’re dining with your soulmate or your best mate, Chelsea has the perfect table waiting.

Beef & Bass

Their lovers’ feast is all about beefing up the romance and letting sparks fly over seabass. You’ll warm up with a truffle-kissed bao and love taco, guaranteed to cause heart-eyes across the table, before the main course, a swoon-worthy surf and turf – a power couple if there ever was one. And because nothing says devotion like chocolate, the heart-shaped hot cookie with ice cream is your sweet, melty finale making for the perfect edible love letter. | 356-360 King’s Road, London SW3 5UZ

Bluebird

Bluebird is serving date-night glamour this Valentine’s Day. You’ll start with a velvety leek and potato veloute that feels like a warm hug in a bowl, before diving into a show-stopping sushi and sashimi platter that’s basically romance, but made through seafood. Then comes the real heart-racer: a might 28oz rib on the bone or a gloriously glossy grilled sea bass topped with prawn and lobster toast. And just when you think you couldn’t fall any harder, along comes the cinnamon-baked apple and pear crumble, ready to charm you into dessert-induced bliss. | 350 King’s Road, London SW3 5UU

Hans’ Bar & Grill

Striking the perfect balance between cosy and quietly decadent, the evening begins with a choice of butter poached lobster bisque or a truffle-kissed celeriac bisque. Then comes the main event: an aged fillet of grass-fed beef with cep puree and hazelnuts, or a beautifully caramelised cauliflower steak for veg-forward romantics. A playful “boiled egg and soldiers” follows, before a dark-chocolate and strawberry duo lands as the grand finale to your five-act love story. | 164 Pavilion Road, London SW1X 0AW

Ixchel

Promising the most romantic fiesta, sparks are set to fly and flavours to flirt this Valentine’s Day at Ixchel. The evening kicks off with a rose-tinted Cremant and addictive guacamole before a series of playful para picar bites: strawberry aguachile, scallops and smoky short-rib quesadillas that set the tone of a night of bold, bright fun. For mains, Cupid gets a Mexican makeover with pink mole chicken or a wagyu chuck eye rich with chilmole and white truffle – dishes made to impress without taking themselves too seriously – and, for dessert, the chocolate tamal with roasted corn ice cream will be sure to steal your heart one warm, melty spoonful at a time. | 33H King’s Road, London SW3 4LX

Kutir

Less dinner, more romantic escape – Kutir has curated a delicious expedition through India’s regions, spices and stories. The Signature and Vegetarian journeys both begin with an amuse bouche before branching into beautifully crafted courses include scallops with puffed rice and mustard, lobster with caviar, or paneer tossed with peppers and smoked ketchup. Mains range from a rich lamb with artichoke or Alleppey sea bass, to the prettiest cauliflower steak you’ve ever seen. Desserts keep the adventure going with either a silky white chocolate and strawberry creation or a fragrant cassata with rose and cranberry. | 10 Lincoln Street, London SW3 2TS

La Mia Mamma

Prosecco in hand and Mammas fussing over you from the moment you sit down, this is true amore. A riot of sharing plates land first – think cod and smoke provola spiedino and aubergine parmigiana – before pastas hit the table (heart-shaped ravioli included, naturally) ensuring nobody has to compromise. Then it’s all about cosy, family-style mains and a mystery Amore di Mamma dessert to share. | 253 King’s Road, London SW3 5EL

PizzaExpress

Valentine’s has had a delicious upgrade at PizzaExpress, where the Dine Out for 2 offer lets you share any two starters, two mains and a bottle of wine for just £50 – perfect for date night or mate night. And if you’re looking for a dish with serious commitment energy, the new limited-edition “Marry Me” Chicken pizza comes loaded with creamy béchamel, pesto, sun-dried tomato, mozzarella and slow-roasted tomatoes. It’s bold, it’s cheesy and how could anyone say no? | 152-154 King’s Road, London SW3 4UT

Rabbit

Rabbit is serving a Valentine’s menu that’s equal parts countryside charm and Chelsea chic designed to ensure you lean in, laugh more and linger longer. Things kick off with a trio of whimsical little bites (including the cult favourite Mushroom Marmite eclair) before diving into silky crab ravioli and a truffle-kissed souffle that feels like a warm embrace in souffle form. The main event, wild fallow deer with pumpkin and honey berries, is a love letter to British produce and plated so beautifully you’ll almost feel bad ruining it and perfectly precede the white chocolate profiteroles. For those keen to dial up the romance even more, the optional wine pairing offers pure flirtation in a glass – thoughtful, bold and perfectly matched to every course. | 172 King’s Road, London SW3 4UP

Sticks’n’Sushi

There’s a certain magic to Valentine’s at Sticks’n’Sushi, the kind that sneaks up on you somewhere between the first shared bite of sushi and the inevitable “shall we get another stick?” grin. Their Kobito (“loved one”) menu is designed for duos who like a bit of everything: crisps starters, beautiful sushi and those legendary grilled sticks that are impossible not to steal from each other’s plates. It’s relaxed, a little mischievous and perfect for couples, besties or anyone who thinks sharing food is a love language. Running from 12-15 February, it’s a deliciously low-pressure way to celebrate and, if commitment isn’t your thing, the a la carte is always ready to flirt back.  | 113-115 King’s Road, London SW3 4PA

The Ivy Asia Chelsea

Unapologetically theatrical, this is the kind of date night where the champagne will land in your hand before you have even removed your coat. The feast begins with sharing plates that are as dramatic as the emerald and crimson dining room: think truffle-topped beef tataki, spicy yuzu-dressed tuna sashimi and crispy ebi prawns with a chilli-lime snap. Mains dial things up again, from the slow roasted “Black Cod” miso to pink-peppercorn beef fillet or a rich Keralan chickpea and aubergine curry. Add in jasmine rice, wok-fried greens and a dessert called Eternal Love (a white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake dressed in gold) and you’ve got a Valentine’s menu that’s both indulgence and fun. | 201-203a King’s Road, London SW3 5ED

The Trafalgar

The King’s Road’s newest pub is bringing a sweet touch to the day of love with a heart-shaped baby Guinness cake filled with Baileys mascarpone. Rich, indulgent and made to share, it’s the perfect romantic flourish to any date night. Why not pair it with Wright Brothers’ oysters and a glass of English sparkling wine for an effortlessly chic celebration. | 224-226 King’s Road, London SW3 5UA

The Surprise

There’s something irresistibly charming about Valentine’s at The Surprise – maybe it’s the glow of the crackling fireplace, or perhaps the staff who make you feel like a beloved regular even on your first visit (“date”). This year’s menu leans into comfort and indulgence, starting with a delicate Wiltshire beef carpaccio or their signature goat’s cheese topped with roasted almonds and honey. Mains bring the romance with pan-fried Cornish red mullet or a show stopped cote de boeuf to share, perfect for couples who don’t mind a bit of fork flirting. For dessert, the strawberry Basque cheesecake or gooey Valrhona brownie are ready to enjoyed fireside with someone who makes you melt just as much. | 6 Christchurch Terrace, London SW3 4AJ
