Bloomin Women! Herstories of Women in Botany

Sunday, 30 March 2025
Tickets: £35

This Women’s History Month, let’s shine a spotlight on the remarkable women who have made significant contributions to the fields of botany, medicine, and botanical art.

The Chelsea Physic Garden invite guests to uncover the hidden histories of women’s groundbreaking work and creativity which have not only advanced our understanding of the natural world but have also inspired countless generations. On Sunday 30 March, join Maria from Herstorical Tours as she introduces you to these pioneering women through history. Through live storytelling, you will learn about Hildegard of Bingen, Mary Seacole, Jeanne Baret, Elizabeth Blackwell, and Mary Delany – women who have healed, explored, illustrated, and cultivated knowledge. Some of whom, have walked the very grounds of the gardens whilst others have left their legacy that we still build upon in the present day.

These inspiring stories will be brought to life through live storytelling, history and interactive moments, promising an evening that will celebrate progress whilst leaving you reflecting on the challenges that remain.

Tickets are £35 and doors will open at 5.30pm for a 6pm start.
