Tickets are now on sale for the hottest new addition to London’s art and culture scene. The Chelsea Arts Festival: a celebration of wonder, culture and joy. Brought to you by Country & Townhouse and Cadogan, mark 19-21 September in your diaries for a celebration of artists, performers, storytellers and thinkers, right here in Chelsea.
The festival is thrilled to announce a new wave of star talent, including Twiggy, Sadie Frost, Dr Nitin Sawhney CBE, Lloyd Griffith, Michael Odewale, Asa Butterfield, David Morrissey, Lesley Sharp, and Ronnie Scott’s with Ashton Jones. They join an already dazzling line‑up of writers, performers and cultural leaders set to appear across Chelsea. Some highlights include:
Celebrated author and broadcaster Elizabeth Day will take to the stage at Cadogan Hall, alongside a roster of events from literary heavyweights, including award-winning William Boyd with his latest novel and best-selling author Matt Haig, who has sold over 10 million books worldwide, who will appear in conversation with musician and mental health advocate Jordan Stephens.
Elsewhere, a spectacular Literary Salon event will celebrate the internationally acclaimed Women’s Prize for Fiction’s 30th Anniversary, featuring readings and performances from broadcaster June Sarpong, and author Kate Mosse, with more to be announced.
Acclaimed author Ian McEwan will be joined by columnist and environmental activist George Monbiot to discuss his forthcoming, fictional tour de force, What We Can Know, exploring humanity’s resilience in the face of climate catastrophe.
Dame Zandra Rhodes brings her unparalleled creative vision to the Saatchi Gallery for an in conversation celebrating the power of fashion as a form of self-expression. Also joining the bill at Saatchi is YouTube sensation Jack Edwards, known to millions as the ‘internet’s resident librarian’, who will be hosting his own take on a literary debate for a thought-provoking discussion over three-days. This will also include a fireside chat between Arts Council England Chief Executive Darren Henley and journalist and broadcaster Samira Ahmed about the life-enhancing benefits of public cultural investment.
Audiences can also look forward to live music at Cadogan Hall in support of EarthPercent, the music industry’s climate foundation, and a live podcast taping with the London Theatre Review at the Royal Court Theatre, featuring leading critics Nancy Durrant, Nick Curtis and Nick Clark.
