New Opening: The Chalkfree House

New Opening: The Chalkfree House

Chelsea is welcoming a new gastropub to the block – say hello to The Chalk Freehouse!

The Tom Kerridge Group is shaking things up with its latest venture – bringing acclaimed chef Tom De Keyser, former Head Chef of the two Michelin-starred The Hand and Flowers in Marlow, to London for the first time, right in the heart of Chelsea.

Located in a beautifully restored Victorian property just off the King’s Road, The Chalk Freehouse offers a refined take on classic British pub fare, complete with comforting starters, seasonal mains, and an expertly curated wine and beer list. The menu blends De Keyser’s signature style with the warmth and familiarity of traditional pub dining, paying homage to the area’s maritime past.

The Chalk features a 60-seat dining room, private dining space, custom-built bar, and a garden perfect for relaxed alfresco dining when the sun shines. Backed by industry veterans including General Manager Lourdes Dooley and sommelier Gavin Hills, this is set to become your new neighbourhood favourite.

Now open for bookings and walk-ins, The Chalk Freehouse is ready to level up the King’s Road pub game. See you there!
