Level up your return to the office

Back into the swing of a new working year yet? Starting to return to office-life? Whether you’re full of energy and motivation or snoozing your alarm, a new routine shake-up can make the world of difference. From lunch and wardrobe changes to that much-needed caffeine fix, build these into your new-year routine.

Lunch break inspiration

Where to grab lunch? You can never go wrong with something delicious from Leon and we’re extra excited to have their latest restaurant opening on the King’s Road on 8 February. Or, for a payday treat, why not enjoy lunch from the newly opened Ottolenghi on Pavilion Road? You’ll find the signature white counters stacked high with mouth-watering salads and cakes. Looking something to extend Veganuary into February? Grab something tasty and 100% vegan from Humble (we love their Kimchi Bowl and their no-meat Ceasar Salad), or pick up a freshly made smoothie or vitamin-packed shot from Joe & the Juice.

Wardrobe inspiration – for him

There’s nothing like a wardrobe shake-up to boost your motivation and the plentiful menswear stores on the King’s Road are here to help. If your office dress code errs on the casual side (or you’re still working from home), a trip to Sirplus (whose pieces are all made from either recycled, sustainable, technical or organic fabrics) will give you some great options. Try their tactile lambswool knits for a winter refresh. Smarter looks required al-desko? Then you can’t go wrong with either Reiss or BOSS who are here to ensure you are suited and booted impeccably.

Wardrobe inspiration – for her

With the colder weather making layering a must, a few key pieces to add to your 9-5 rotation can work wonders. Try Me + Em for super stylish wardrobe foundations you’ll be able to mix up throughout the working week, or Cefinn for beautiful dresses that work as well in a meeting as they do for post-work drinks. Scandi-inspired minimalism more your thing? Find crisp shirts, well-cut trousers and colourful accessories at Cos, or go classic at Massimo Dutti.

New Year, new locks

There’s no shortage of places to go in Chelsea when you need to tame the mane. We love Ted’s Grooming Room (where walk-ins are welcome) or the bustling Hari’s Hairdresser on the King’s Road. Hair in need of some TLC? Hot foot it to Salon Sloane on Pavilion Road, where the new K18 treatment restores dry, brittle hair to its former glory. Plus, King’s Road Privilege Card holders will get an added 10% off… tempted?

Caffeine Fix

Whether you like your coffee, black, white, tall or and frothy, or short and sharp, you’re spoilt for choice on the King’s Road. Step into Hagen for expert espresso, swing by Vardo at Duke of York Square for a delicious craft coffee or hop across the Square to The Black Penny before you head to the office.

… And don’t forget, if you work in the area then you’re entitled to a host of tempting offers and discounts at some of your favourite businesses. Discover the King’s Road Privilege Card here.
