Hemisphere Gallery, opened in Fulham Road in Chelsea in 1991 and currently located in Pimlico Road in Belgravia, deals in 20th Century furniture and decorative arts from Europe and America from 1940 to 1980. Owner Raymond Paynter features pieces combining the qualities of good design and good craftsmanship with the emphasis on organic modernism. Designers such as George Nakashima and Phillip Lloyd Powell are presented along with a large selection of Scandinavian Design and French designers such as Jean Royere, Mathieu Mategot and Georges Jouve.
