Heidi Bakery

Heidi Bakery

Heidi has been bringing proper pastry and patisserie to England for over twenty years. The store was founded in Windsor by Heidi Daniel, who with Edward and Rory, continues to run the business today.

Heidi Chelsea is located in the stunning Grade II* listed Soane Stable Yard, part of the historic Royal Hospital Chelsea and home of the Chelsea Pensioners.

This forty-cover bakery is within the historic horse stalls of the stable yard, which was built by Sir John Soane between 1814 and 1817 when he was the Clerk of Works at the Royal Hospital. It features an additional forty-covers within the stable’s cobbled courtyard.

The cafe is part of a wider £12.2m refurbishment of the stable yard, which also features a museum, a shop and post office. It is the first time since the Royal Hospital Chelsea opened in 1692 that this unique historic site will be accessible to the public seven days a week.
