It’s the news all fitness junkies have been waiting for: gyms are now open! If you’re itching to get back to your classes, here’s the lowdown on what to know before you take a trip to our King’s Road fitness spaces.
KOBOX
Chelsea’s boutique boxing gym is back and packing a punch. Class format remains the same, with its signature, high impact mix of boxing on the bag and circuit-style routines as usual. You will be allocated a bag and a wall spot for the duration of the class and will not share your bag or equipment with anyone else during the class (all equipment will be cleaned between classes). Good news for regular KOBOXers, too: if you have class credits from before lockdown, these have been extended and are valid for four months. Check the timetable, choose your instructor and reserve your spot here.

Barrecore
The boutique ballet barre studio is also following suit and reopening from 25 July, following government advice. Book ahead online and follow safety precautions before your visit (please note that no cash payments are currently accepted). Doors will open 10 minutes before class, and close strictly one minute before the class starts. Barrecore advise that you arrive five minutes before class, and observe social distancing while you wait. Turning up in your workout gear and showering at home is also advisable to limit contact in the changing rooms. You can read more about safety precautions before your visit here.

Heartcore
Good news for Heartcore fans: Chelsea is one of the four studios to reopen for Dynamic Pilates classes and personal training from Saturday 25 July. The studio is deep cleaned daily with sanitising wipes and solutions available for you to use before and after class. CoreFormers™ used during classes have also been adjusted with a minimum of 1m distancing between the centre of each carriage. As government advice changes, keep checking their Covid-19 updates online to stay up to date with the latest workout regulations.
