The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

Across Chelsea
Thursday, 12 May 2022 – Sunday, 5 June 2022
Free Admission

In celebration of seven decades of the Queen’s reign, here’s how to enjoy a weekend of regal jubilation in Chelsea.

Eggs of an Era

Seven egg-shaped sculptures form a magnificent art trail across the neighbourhood, in place from 16 May to 12 June. Each unique design by a leading artist represents a decade of the Queen’s 70 year reign and are raising vital awareness of the impact of poaching and collecting eggs from the wild. The King’s Road Street Party

On Saturday 4 June, from 11am to 6pm, join us for the King’s Road Jubilee Street Party. Pedestrianised from Sloane Square to Cheltenham Terrace, we will be coming together for a day of merriment with a host of activity for all to enjoy. The Fine Food Market will take place on the green opposite Saatchi, with plenty of green space for picnicking in the sunshine and in partnership with the Royal Commonwealth Society, there will be a Royal Commonwealth Market, offering delicious food largely representative of flavours from constituent member nations.

Local cultural destinations will have showcases throughout the day, from the Saatchi Gallery, Cadogan Hall ant the National Army Museum to Peter Jones and more – all of which are complimentary for visitors.

Check back soon for the full programme.

Chelsea in Bloom displays

For the very first time, visitors can enjoy an extended run of Chelsea in Bloom. Themed to perfectly coincide with the Jubilee, the central installations at Sloane Square and Duke of York Square and along Pavilion Road, Sloane Street and the King’s Road, will remain in place until Sunday 5 June. Many participants will also have their displays in place for this extended period of time too – don’t forget to scan the QR codes by your favourite display to download a map of what’s on.
