Half-Term Heroes

Half-Term Heroes

King's Road
Saturday, 21 October 2023 – Sunday, 29 October 2023
Tickets: £1

We can hardly believe we’re nearly half way through the school term and if you’re wondering how to keep your little ones entertained this half term, we’ve got you covered. Whether you have teenagers or toddlers, here are our favourite ways to keep them occupied this October.

Treat them to pancakes

Pancakes are a world-wide favourite when it comes to breakfast. Treat them to a visit to King’s Road haunt, My Old Dutch, for stacks of the good stuff. Crepes or buttermilk, sweet or savoury and even a dedicated kid’s menu for smaller-stack lover, there’s a flavour for everyone and we know how expensive half term can get so don’t forget to use the codeword, ‘PANCAKE POWER’ for 20% off from Tuesday to Friday. | 221 King’s Road, London SW3 5EJ

Animal lovers

The National Army Museum are celebrating the amazing world of Army animals this half term with a series of activities perfect for animal lovers and crafty-kids. Reserve your spot on one of two Tiny Troopers sessions to sing and play with your little ones, and even creating a very special animal headband to take home, with further activities including a free-to-join craft session where your little one will create their very own Army Animal, and a family-friendly tour of the amazing world of corporal ponies and parachuting German Shepherds. Find out more and book here. | Royal Hospital Road, London SW3 4HT

Halloween horrors

Give them the spooks this half term and book tickets to an immersive theatre experience at The Chelsea Physic Garden. Tickets to ‘The Ghost Detectives’ start from £15 per child and £20 per adult, and will transport you back to 1946 as you race around the Garden on a quest for the truth behind the disappearance of the famous Crown Jewels. Expect an afternoon of silliness, with halloween costumes encouraged! Book your ticket here. | 66 Royal Hospital Road, London SW3 4HS

Fashions future

If they fancy themselves the next Coco Chanel or Christian Dior, enrol them at The Fashion School this half term for one of two week-long workshops: ‘Make Your Own Sustainable Halloween Costume’ and ‘Sew Your Own Hoodie’. With access to their incredible designer fabric collection, this is the perfect opportunity for them to unleash their own personal style, with workshops suitable for all levels of ability. Reserve their place here. | First Floor, 6 Burnsall Street, London SW3 3ST

Pamper session

Treat them to a trim at Trotters where they can enjoy a one-of-a-kind hairdressing experience, both fun and practical at the same time. They’ll be sat opposite a  tropical fish tank, full of colourful creatures swimming around whilst their hairdresser works their magic, before coming away with a chocolate coin and a sticker at the end. Haircuts are £22 per little person and can be booked here.
