One of Christmas’ most joyful traditions, carolling with friends and family is one of our favourite celebrations. Here are the best carol services to attend across the neighbourhood, many raising awareness of some important charities and all providing much-needed festive joy.
Asthma & Lung UK Carol Service
A magical evening of carols, celebrity readings, mulled wine and mince pies in support of Asthma & Lung UK and their fight for lung health. Enjoy incredible performances from the Boys’ Choir of Westminster Under School and readings from actor and comedian Hugh Dennis and Bridgerton’s Rupert Evans. Royal Brompton Carols by Candlelight Service
This annual carol concert is a special celebration that features readings from patients and staff, as well as the incredible London Oratory Scola. All funds raised will support the Royal Brompton Gamma Gamma appeal, raising funds to provide hospitals with cutting-edge imaging technology that will help support better diagnostics and treatments. Christmas Carols at St Mary’s
With special guest readers and music from the Guildhall Alumni Choir and children from St Joseph’s Primary School, this is the perfect way to celebrate the festive season. St Mary’s is one of the oldest Catholic parishes in London and this celebration and following reception, is a lovely way to be a part of the community. Tickets from £15-40 and can be booked here.

Charlie Waller Carol Service
A festive evening of celebrity readings, candlelit carols and choral pieces by Vox Cordis, followed by mince pies and mulled wine, in aid of The Charlie Waller Trust. Celebrity readers include actress Minnie Driver, footballer Sol Campbell, actor Sebastian de Souza, writer Susannah Constantine. Tickets start from £35 and can be booked here.

Carols on Chelsea Green
Returning to Chelsea Green, everyone is welcome to join St Luke’s Choir for their annual singalong at 6.30pm. No tickets required.

Nine Lessons and Carols
Enjoy the traditional nine lessons and carols at Chelsea Old Church, followed by mince pies, generously donated by nearby friends, Auriens, and fizz in the Petyt Hall afterward. There are no tickets required but further information can be found here.
