Across Chelsea
Saturday, 5 December 2020 – Friday, 25 December 2020
Free Admission
Christmas in Chelsea this year is even more magical and we cannot wait to welcome you back.
The Christmas lights have returned with spectacular displays across entire neighbourhood. See majestic crowns strung across the King’s Road as a nod to its heritage – the Road was created King Charles II, the very monarch who ‘brought back Christmas’ after a decade long ban by Oliver Cromwell. Just a stone’s throw away, you can find a glittering walk-through forest of Silver birch and pure white magnolia twinkling with fairy lights, as well as a 36ft (a gigantic 11m and weighing as much as polar bear!) adorned with shimmering golden bows and striking 5ft wreaths. Don’t forget to share your photos on Instagram – tag @kingsroad.london with #ChelseaChristmas for the chance to be shared on our channel.
Each weekend throughout December, keep your eyes peeled for Chelsea’s roaming entertainers, adding to the Christmas spirit, including live music and festive performers. Complimentary horse and carriage rides will depart from outside Tiffany & Co on Sloane Street and a festive food market will be hosted at Duke of York Square, just off the King’s Road, each Saturday from 10am-4pm.
Christmas shopping is hungry work. Across Pavilion Road and Duke of York Square, an additional 500 outdoor seats with cover and heaters providing protection from the elements. On Duke of York Square, dine al fresco at Vardo, Manicomio and Polpo. There is also additional seating to enjoy your purchases from the festive fine food market. Pavilion Road remains pedestrianised has been ‘winterised’ with outdoor dining at Hans’ Bar & Grill, Wulf & Lamb, The Sea, The Sea and Granger & Co, plus delicious takeaway options from the butcher, the bakers, the grocer and the cheesemonger.
