The Chelsea History Festival returns from 26 September – 1 October 2023, with a captivating programme of events across the neighbourhood.

Immerse yourself in history this autumn, thanks to the National Army Museum, Royal Hospital Chelsea and Chelsea Physic Garden. Together, they will celebrate the past and present of Chelsea’s rich history and vibrancy today through an impressive line-up of incredible tours, enlightening talks and performances.

Explore Chelsea’s relationship with film and discover where filmmakers come to create movie magic with a tour, ‘SW3 on Screen’, and delve into the neighbourhood’s place at the heart of fashion, in a conversation spanning the swinging sixties through to the punk era. Elsewhere, join local resident and Rolling Stones star, Bill Wyman as he tells his interpretation of Chelsea’s story or perhaps lie back and stargaze, with an evening with expert astronomers at the magnificent Royal Hospital Chelsea.
