No excuses are ever needed for a hot chocolate and especially at this time of year. And, especially in Chelsea. These are our favourite Chelsea haunts to enjoy the delicious beverage.
Knoops specialise in creating the perfect hot or cold drinking chocolate (a process they call ‘Knoopology’). All their delicious drinks are fully personalisable, using a different percentage of chocolate flakes, based on their menu system. Choose from 28% white to 100% dark (54% and up are all vegan-friendly) to create your own blend and then mix with your choice of dairy or plant-based milk to create a sumptuous hot chocolate.

With stunning festive decoration, cosy heaters and plenty of blankets, there’s something truly special about an afternoon or evening spent in the Courtyard at Bluebird Chelsea. Soak up the atmosphere and drink up a warming hot chocolate or mocha before wandering down the King’s Road to admire the twinkling lights.

Once you’ve finished at Bluebird, why not hop across the road to world-famous chocolatier Rococo Chocolates? They have plenty of delicious hot chocolate blends on offer in store for you to take home. Choose from traditional 65% dark chocolate blends or branch out to something more avant-garde with the likes of banana, cardamom or chai-enhanced hot chocolate flakes.

The Hagen Project
It may be famed for its coffee, but that doesn’t mean The Hagen Project is a one-trick pony. The Danish-style espresso bar is BIG on the hygge vibes, so it’s only natural that hot chocolate is a firm favourite on the menu. On the road to becoming a certified B Corp, given to businesses showing the highest standards of social and environmental performance, their drinks don’t just taste good – they do good as well.

This famously pink cake parlour is like stepping into a fairy tale all year round but during the festive season it’s even more magical. Their Gingerbread Hot Choc will give you strong Hansel & Gretel vibes, especially topped with mini marshmallows and accompanied by something sweet and delicious from their cake menu.
