Halloween Family Broomstick Making at Chelsea Physic Garden

Looking for the perfect accessory to complete the children’s costumes? Craft your own broomstick using plant materials foraged at the Chelsea Physic Garden and learn about the craft from around the world. With the opportunity to customise your broomstick to suit your personality. To conclude the workshop, take your broomstick for a ride around the garden to learn about some of the beautiful plants. Tickets are £15 per adult and £10 per child.

Sew Your Own Cargo Trousers or Skirt Workshop

Get creative with The Fashion School and in keeping with current trend, learn how to sew your own cargo trousers or skirt. Choose from a range of sustainably sourced and deadstock designer woven fabrics and customise to your taste, whether it be high-waisted or wide legged for the trousers or a maxi or mini length for the skirt. Halloween Workshop Using Sustainable Fabrics

Last minute costume panic? The Fashion School is on hand to help. Corpse bride, mini witch or a spooky ghost, you decide. The theatrical workshop , suitable for ages 6-11 involves cutting, gluing, painting and tearing sustainable fabrics giving your children the chance to gain a few new skills. Airborne Adventures
25-26 October
Take the kids on the ultimate adventure this school break at the National Army Museum. Investigate objects from the handling collection before having a go at making your very own parachute and for the best bit… testing it out at the Giant Drop Zone. The workshop given by Anaesthesia Heritage Centre will explore military medicine in the Second World War including an amazing medical invention that changed the lives of airborne troops. Session times for parachute making start at 11.00 and 14.00 and Giant Drop Zone sessions start at 11.00 and 14.45 each lasting 45 minutes. Tickets are free and booking is not required.
