The Surprise will be hosting a series of talks with Dan Cruickshank, historian and author of ‘Built in Chelsea’.
Well known for presenting on the BBC and his popular series ‘Around the World in 80 Treasures’, Cruickshank is a historian, well-travelled across the world including troubled regions such as Afghanistan. He is also a leading expert on architecture and historic buildings and has recently publishing his latest book ‘Built in Chelsea’. It seems incredibly fitting then for Dan to share his stories and expertise on Chelsea with a series of talks from one of Chelsea’s icons, The Surprise.
The first takes place on 31 May – ‘Towns of Palaces – old Riverside Chelsea’ between 18:30 – 19:30, with a further three on the following dates;
14 June: Royal Hospital
29 June: Artists in Chelsea
5 July: ‘Modern’ Chelsea – 1920s and 1930s
Tickets cost £20 (per person, per talk) or £60 for the series of 4. To purchase yours, email firstname.lastname@example.org or click here
