Back to business

Back to business

Although not quite back to ‘business as usual’, we’re so happy to see some of our King’s Road favourites opening their doors for takeaway, or dropping their delicious meals at your very own front door via Deliveroo. If you’re itching for a sweet treat, fancy a celebratory dinner or simply a takeaway coffee on your daily stroll, here’s the current King’s Road directory.

For a health kick

Lockdown lethargy got you craving a healthy boost? Joe & The Juice is now open for takeaway. From vitamin shots to green juice, we’ll definitely be coordinating our runs around Chelsea to end with a pick-me-up from here this month. Açai-berry aficionados can order a delicious smoothie bowl, loaded with antioxidants and good-for-you ingredients, from Açai Berry The Amazon using Deliveroo.

For a sweet treat

They say you either get ‘fitter or fatter’ in lockdown, and we have to say, if it means we can enjoy a slice of cake or French patisserie from our King’s Road favourites again, we’re fine with the latter. If it’s fine French patisserie you’re craving, sweet tooths can be sated at L’Eto or GAIL’s, while gelato bars Amorino and Venchi are also open for takeaway. Fellow foodie favourite, PAUL, is still yet to open for pick-ups, but you can get your fix through Deliveroo in the meantime. Check websites and social media for details.

For your caffeine fix

Missing your barista-brewed coffee and, dare we say it, even beginning to miss your commute? Regain a sense of your regular routine and drop into Hagen for your morning or lunchtime espresso, which has been open for takeaway the last few weeks. Current opening hours have been extended: you can now drop in from 8.30-4.30pm for a smile, a socially-distanced chat and, of course, your coffee. Like your coffee and cake a little greener? Then you’ll be especially pleased to hear that Matcha & Beyond have followed suit, and are open for takeaway from Wednesday to Sunday. Opening times vary, stay up to date on Instagram, @matchaandbeyond.

Never again will we take eating out for granted. If you’re really starting to miss the days of uncomplicated restaurant hopping, meet your cravings halfway with a delivery or takeaway from one of your King’s Road favourites for supper. Is Chinese food what you fancy? You can place an order at New Culture Revolution through Deliveroo, JustEat or direct (for collection in person). They’re open from 12-11pm every day. Fans of Italian cuisine can get an authentic takeaway pizza from Cinquecento Pizza between 12-10pm, or place an order on Deliveroo.
